Özet

Güney Asya'nın en eski kesintisiz yerleşim şehirlerinden biri olan Peşaver, yüzyıllar süren kültürel, politik ve dini dönüşümlerle şekillenen canlı bir mimari palimpsest sunmaktadır. Bu çalışma, Peşaver'in mimari mirasının evrimini, Babür camileri, sömürge kurumları ve çağdaş yapılar da dahil olmak üzere önemli alanların fotoğrafik dokümantasyonu ve vaka çalışmaları aracılığıyla incelemektedir. Koruma zorluklarını değerlendirmek ve sürdürülebilir koruma stratejileri önermek için mimari analizi inşaat mühendisliği yaklaşımlarıyla bütünleştirmektedir.
Araştırma, fotoğrafik dokümantasyon, yapısal analiz ve kentsel gelişim politikalarının gözden geçirilmesini içeren karma yöntemli bir yaklaşım kullanmaktadır. İnşaat mühendisliğinin yapısal güçlendirme, dijital dokümantasyon (örneğin, HBIM) ve depreme dayanıklılıktaki rolünü vurgulamaktadır. Bulgular, modern kentleşmenin, farkındalık eksikliğinin ve yetersiz politika çerçevelerinin şehrin zengin yapılı çevresini aşındırdığını ortaya koymaktadır.
Bu makale, mimari mirası mühendislik inovasyonu, şehir planlaması ve toplum katılımıyla uyumlu hale getiren disiplinlerarası bir koruma modelini savunmaktadır. Paydaşlar, Peşaver'in katmanlı inşa edilmiş tarihini anlayarak, modernizasyonun şehrin tarihi kimliğini ortadan kaldırmak yerine onu tamamlamasını sağlayabilirler.
